Your Board of Directors of the Mountain Laurel Estates Homeowners Association (MLEHA) invites you to our 2017 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Freemason’s Lodge, 1515 Ten Rod Road, North Kingstown (directly across the street from Mountain Laurel) on Tuesday, June 6th at 7:00pm.

There is a public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, at 7:30 PM at the Beechwood Senior Center (44 Beach Street, NK) to discuss the Persevere at Rolling Greens.

The MLEHA Annual Meeting was held from 7 PM until 7:40 PM on June 13, 2016 at the Masonic Lodge on Ten Rod Rd. Nine homeowner families were present, along with all current officers. With 38 proxies in hand this was above the requirements for a quorum. The details of the meeting will be published soon (check under the Meetings Tab).
The officers from 2015-2016 agreed to serve another term, and this slate of officers were voted in at the meeting. Thanks for your service in the past and for the year to come. The list of officers are:

Please note that your annual assessment for the 2015-2016 year is due as well. After almost a decade at $180 per year, the dues are increasing to $200. They are payable by June 15, 2015. You may bring the payment to our Annual meeting or mail it to MLEHA, P.O. Box 487, North Kingstown, RI 02852 (Make checks payable to “MLEHA” and be sure to include your address on the “For” line). Payments postmarked after June 30th must include a $50 late payment fee. Please send your dues in prior to the deadline.
The town will be hosting a second public meeting on Thursday, October 15th at 7:00 PM in the Beechwood House, 44 Beach Street. The town’s consultant, Interface Studio LLC, will be presenting a compilation of the information that has been collected to date. This will include a summary of the survey results as well as the identification of major issues that have been highlighted thus far in the process. They will also begin formulating a VISION for the future of North Kingstown. We hope you can join us and share your thoughts on how you see North Kingstown over the next 20 years. MLEHA Board Member Peter Trask attended a meeting for the Comprehensive Plan a couple of weeks ago. The town passed out a card with a web site on which you could go and view a collaborative map that was open for comments.
You are invited to comment through August 14th.
Peter Trask was asked by the town to lead the walking tour of Ten Rod Road between Staples and Oatley’s next Wed (June 10th) at 1:00pm. The purpose of the tour is to discuss and describe the town’s vision for future development along Ten Rod Rd.
If you would like to take place in the walking tour, please be at the Staples parking lot by 1 PM on June 10th.

The Annual Meeting was held last night with 4 owners present, and 37 owners represented by proxy. Six officers from the 2014-2015 board were present. This represented a quorum.
A revised budget that took into account a delay for perennial flower plantings until the fall (to avoid the current drought) was discussed and approved unanimously, and can be seen by Clicking Here.
The following list of officers agreed to serve another term and were voted in unanimously:
