Vestas doesn’t even want their own people within 1300 feet of an operating windmill

Isn’t it ironic that the Town Council has adopted an ordinance that will allow a Vestas V100 windmill to be installed 250 feet away from roads and homes on the Stamp Farm when the company that manufactures the turbine, Vestas, doesn’t want its own people within 1300 feet of an operating turbine?

Isn’t it tragic that the Vestas Operator’s Manual warns personnel to to evacuate at least 1300 feet away in case of a fire, but the town ordinance has no problem with this same generator being 250 feet away from homes.

Click on the Windmill tab above for a summary of information that illustrates how our town ordinance is woefully inadequate in terms of protecting the public safety and interest.
